MUMBAI: Aakarsh Pathak was surprised to learn that he had scored a CGPA of 10. A student of Ryan International School, Kandivli, he was battling chicken pox during his CBSE exams. “My parents were supportive throughout the exams though I was distracted. I thought I won’t score well,” Aakarsh said.
He had high fever and itching throughout his exams, making it difficult for him to sit.
The school provided him a separate room to write his exams. “The condition made it hard for me to focus. I believe that finishing the course well in advance helped me overcome even such a situation. I finished studying in February, hence I didn’t feel too much pressure,” he said. “I want to pursue a career in astrophysics. Later, I would like to get into IIT-Bombay or Kharagpur since they have more options for physics,” Aakarsh added
