CBSE class X results: Boys outshine girls in district

Varanasi: Boys outperformed girls in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class X results in the district that were declared on Saturday afternoon.
According to CBSE coordinator, VK Mishra, the boys attained a pass percentage of 97.69% against the 96.81% of girls.
The overall pass percentage was 97.39% and as many as 16,033 students, including 10,476 boys and 5,557 girls, from over 90 schools appeared for class X examinations.

Meanwhile, declaration of the long-awaited results after uncertainty of dates took the students by surprise and most of the schools in the city reported several students who scored the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 10.
At Kendriya Vidyalaya, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), 128 students had appeared for the examinations, of whom as many as 27 managed the highest CGPA of 10.
According to spokesperson of Care and Career School, all the students, who appeared for the exam, passed of whom five mangaed a CGPA of 10 while 60% got CGPA of 9. The authorities of Little Flower House School said 32 of its students scored a CGPA of 10 while 43 students scored between 9 and 10.

Celebrations were evident at The Aryan International School with a pass percentage of 100%. The school spokesperson said 171 students appeared for the examination of which 72 secured CGPA of 10 while 64 students scored between 9 and 10. In Delhi Public School, all the students passed with flying colours. Of a total 227 students, 22.5% scored CGPA of 10 while 26.4% scored above 9 CGPA. As many as 51 students secured CGPA of 10 while 60 students managed a CGPA between 9 and 9.8. DALIMSS Group of Schools too was rejoicing as out of 493 students, 18% had scored 10 CGPA, another 27% had attained 9 and above CGPA. President Pradeep 'Baba' Madhok wished the students very best for their future endeavours.
At Sunbeam Academy as many as 16 students got 10 CGPA while 29 students scored CGPA of 9 and above in CBSE class X results. School secretary, Jagdeep Madhok and principals KK Panda and GP Mishra were all praise for their students.
The authorities of Central Hindu Girls' school were also proud of their students as all the 214 students passed the board exams out of which 37 bagged CGPA of 10. A total of 86 students of Central Hindu Boys' school scored 10 CGPA and brought laurels to the school. At Mount Litera Zee School situated at Mohansarai, students were rejoicing as they managed to get good grades. Chairman of school, Pradeep Bishnoi said 55% of 69 students scored 10 CGPA and over 30% got CGPA of 9 and above. At Happy Model School as many as 23 students had bagged CGPA of 10 while 67 secured CGPA of 9 and above.
