KOPALA swag coiner Macky 2 says his political opinion has always been Favour and Fear Free and that he is a ruling Patriotic Front (PF) member.
Like his musical colleague Mampi, who last week announced her passionate affiliation to the PF, Macky 2 claims that he is with the PF not because of the money as the money he receives from the campaign trails is nothing compared to his other shows.
The artiste, who is currently in the United States of America (USA), took to social media to explain his political stance as an artiste due to the many messages he has received from the public.
Macky 2 explains that people need to understand that when he stands on a PF platform to perform, it’s simply because of his belief in President Edgar Lungu and nothing to do with the money he claims is little.
“I endorsed President Lungu because I sat down and listened to him talk, I heard from the horse’s mouth, I know the passion he has for Zambia and how much he wants to transform our people’s lives. I believe with no doubt in my mind that he is the man for the job. That’s why I do It.” says Macky 2.
He told politicians that when they step out of the line, he will speak out without caring what political party they belong to or what position they hold, as what is wrong is wrong and he will always call a spade a spade.
And people had different views and commented on Macky 2’s post. Harvesto Mwandila has a pubic message for the award-winning artiste and says: “Stop waiting on Government, be innovative and make sense, why is it that our society is always expectant instead of thinking about what one can do, one always thinks about what they can get…shame to those! Governments come and go and you remain stuck in a cocoon period! Wake up Zambia!!!!”
Mwila Nshinka wrote: “Your fans are from different political affiliations just remember to separate your work from politics.”
Macky 2 urged the political parties to desist from violence and debate developmental issues peacefully.
The artiste also announced that he was working on a new track which would be released soon.
