South Indian star Jayaram, who is basking in the success of the Malayalam movie "Aadupuliyattam," will be part of a Telugu project soon. The actor will next be seen in Anushka Shetty's upcoming movie "Bhagmati."

Jayaram himself announced the news while sharing his new look for the upcoming movie via his Facebook page. The actor looks different in his clean shaven head, thick moustache and bearded avatar. Rumours have it that he will play the role of a baddie in the women-centric movie, which is the directorial venture of G Ashok of "Pilla Zamindar" fame.

"Bhagmati" was earlier rumoured to be a period drama, but the actress has reportedly said it is a modern day thriller. Anushka, who has mesmerised the audience with woman-centric movies "Arundathi" and "Rudramadevi," is also expected to shine in the titular role of Bhagmati. The film is said to have "Baahubali" star Prabhas in a pivotal role and â€ªBollywood actress Tabu‬ is expected to play ‪Anushka's ‪mother‬ in ‪it. The Telugu flick was recently launched at the office of UV Creations in Hyderabad and is expected to hit the theatres in January 2016 as a Sankranthi release.

Anushka also has three most-anticipated movies, including "Baahubali - The Conclusion," which is the sequel of the blockbuster movie "Baahubali - The Beginning," "Singam 3" - the third instalment of Suriya's "Singam" and Chiranjeevi starrer "Kathilantodu."
