The Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI) sought to be established in the Forest Research Institute, Mulugu of Medak district, will be affiliated to the Osmania University instead of the Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKTSHU) as proposed earlier.
The Telangana government issued an order on Friday, amending an earlier order according administrative sanction to the institute, wherein it was mentioned that it would be affiliated to the horticultural university.
Another order makes the university V-C a member of the governing body in place of the V-C of the SKTSHU, and a professor nominated by the OU vice-chancellor.
