Land for proposed industrial park and cluster inspected

Ratna Prabha, additional chief secretary for commerce and industries, on Thursday inspected the land for the proposed Women's Industrial Park, SC and ST Industrial Cluster and Pharma Cluster Park at Thandya Industrial Area on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road. From among the 30 industrial clusters which are being developed in the state, the government has decided to set up the aforesaid facilities at Thandya Industrial Area.

Mysuru: Ratna Prabha, additional chief secretary for commerce and industries, on Thursday inspected the land for the proposed Women's Industrial Park, SC and ST Industrial Cluster and Pharma Cluster Park at Thandya Industrial Area on Mysuru-Nanjangud Road.
From among the 30 industrial clusters which are being developed in the state, the government has decided to set up the aforesaid facilities at Thandya Industrial Area.

Ratna Prabha was accompanied by KIADB chief development officer T R Swamy, Mysuru zone assistant commissioner Anand, District Industries' Centre joint director Ramakrishnegowda, deputy director Murulesh, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Council general secretary Suresh Kumar Jain and others.
Ratna Prabha told officials and entrepreneurs that Women's Park will come up in 50 acres, ST and ST Cluster on 60 acres and Pharma Park on 200 acres, which will be developed by KIADB under the central government's cluster development programme. The foundation stone-laying ceremony will be conducted by chief minister Siddaramaiah.
Small and Medium Enterprise Council general secretary Suresh Kumar Jain said that Ratna Prabha also discussed on transfer of revenue land from government to KIADB, appreciated the progress of the work on setting up of Asian Paints unit and directed KIADB special land acquisition officer M R Rajesh to provide skill-development training and employment to children of farmers who have lost their lands.
