Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Ananth Kumar on Friday said the Union government was ready to help the State overcome the financial crisis.

The senior BJP leader was inaugurating the Vikas Parva organised by Bharatiya Janata Party Thiruvananthapuram district committee to mark the completion of the two years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.

“The Union government is willing to set up a few industries, including a Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET) in Kerala if land is allotted by the State government,” Mr. Ananth Kumar said.

The Union Minister said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should be able to say “no to corruption and violence and yes to cooperation with the Central government and other parties.”

MLA-elect from Nemom O. Rajagopal was felicitated at the function.
