Smart city: Blame game begins

DEHRADUN: Once again, the blame game for Dehradun failing to find a place in the list of smart city project in the second stage has started between the two main political parties.

Dehradun, May 27

Once again, the blame game for Dehradun failing to find a place in the list of smart city project in the second stage has started between the two main political parties.

Uttarakhand BJP spokesperson Vinay Goyal has blamed the Congress government for failing to ensure that the city found a place in the first and now second list of the urban ministry.

“The Congress government is only interested in grabbing the tea estate, therefore, it failed to ask its officers to look for an adequate site,” Goyal said.

On the other hand, Congress leaders are of the view that the project is facing difficulties because of the antipathy of the Modi government towards the Harish Rawat government. “The antipathy of the Modi government is well known, they have been un-supportive on several issues,” said Mathura Datt Joshi, a Congress leader. — TNS
