Hyderabad: LED lamps manufactured by ECIL were distributed among tribals from Phakir Tikia Thanda in Ghatkesar mandal on the city outskirts.
Sekhar Basu, chairman, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) and secretary, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), participated in the ECIL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) function. CMD ECIL P Sudhakar, chief executive, NFC, N Saibaba and director of AMD, Dr A K Rai also participated.
Apart from distributing LED lamps, ECIL also provided physical infrastructure like class rooms, toilet blocks, dual desks and also computers for schools at Kamalanagar, Nagavaram, Rampally and Chiryal which were recognized as best schools by the Telangana government.
Two students, Anjali from ZPHS Nagavaram and Yasmin Khatoom from ZPHS, Rampally, explained about how their school infrastructure and computer education were on par with corporate schools. TNN
Head masters from four schools thanked ECIL for providing physical infrastructure and computer training for their schools, according to a press release.
