Muktsar, May 27

Former drug-addict Mehtab Singh, pursuing his PhD in computer science, delivered a lecture to students at a de-addiction programme organised at Government Senior Secondary School for Boys here today. The programme was organised by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA).

Mehtab, who hails from Muktsar, told the gathering that he used to be a drug-addict during his college days, but managed to break free of the vicious net following persuasion and motivation of his parents.

He said such awareness initiatives should be undertaken regularly so that youngsters in the drug net could be persuaded to come out of it.
