Tamil actor Siddharth debuts in Malayalam!

Tamil actor Siddharth has always had a fan following among Malayalis, with his iconic films like Boys and Rang De Basanti remaining all-time favourites among the youngsters here. Rumours had been on for years that Siddharth would be seen in a Malayalam film but they remained just that, speculations. But finally, we have a confirmed report that the actor will indeed be debuting in Malayalam, in Rathish Ambat's upcoming film Kammarasambhavam.Siddharth will be playing one of the two lead characters in the film, the other being Dileep. 'Siddharth is a polished performer, with a niche following. The character demanded such an actor, and so we approached him for the role. He agreed at the first sitting itself on listening to the script, and was keen to take up the role,' says Murali Gopy, who is the writer of the film. 'Dileep and Siddharth will have equally important roles. Since the official announcement of the film is yet to be made, more details on the characters and the subject of the movie will be revealed later on,' he says.
Siddharth had earlier admitted that he regretted not working with Thilakan in Ustad Hotel, which he couldn't take up owing to other commitments. Kammarasambhavam will go on floors by August-September, this year.
