GCC ministers meet Lavrov, discuss Middle East issues

Moscow: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Foreign Ministers and Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation held their fourth joint ministerial meeting in Moscow on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs and the foreign ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait.
Settling disputes
The ministerial meeting discussed the developments in the Middle East and the means for settling disputes in the region in a peaceful manner and maintaining its stability.
It also discussed issues of security guarantee in the GCC countries, as well as cooperation to combat terrorism, extremism and facing other challenges.
It also discussed horizons of developing trade, economic and investment relations between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
