Advani leads Gaurav Vikas Yatra in Ahmedabad

Veteran BJP leader and Loksabha MP from Gandhinagar constituency L K Advani today took out an around 20 km long road show, the second one in two days, in his parliamentary constituency.

The road show from Umiya Hall in Ghatlodia, the assembly segment of Chief Minister Mrs Anandiben Patel, culminated at Sharkhej near Bharti Ashram.

The road show in which a large number of motor cycles and four wheeler decorated with BJP flag and saffron scarfs participated, began at around 930 am and ended at 1215 pm. It crossed through Prabhat Chowk, Chankyapuri Bridge, Kargil Petrol pump, Sattadhar Char Rasta, Gulab Tower, Saibaba Mandir, Judges Bunglow Char Rasta, Vatrapur Lake, Mansi Tower, Gold Coin Char Rasta, Prahalad Nagar and Vejalpur among other places.

Mr. Advani and his daughter Mrs Pratibha Advani were seated in a vehicle. The road show, a part of the ruling BJP’s Vikas Parv Yatra event on the occasion of the successful completion of the two years of Modi government’s rule at center as well as Mrs. Anandiben Patel’s regime in the state, was well received in many areas dominant by Patidar community. People and BJP cadres, en route, busted fire crackers and threw flower petals on the veteran leader to welcome him. Patriotic songs and pro-BJP slogans played through sound boxes over a band vehicle continued through out.

Mr. Advani had participated in a similar show in a different area of the constituency yesterday before which he has praised Prime Minister Modi and his government. Though today during the road show he did not address any public meeting or gathering. He waved at people and kept smiling.
