FDP on Computing Tools to Facilitate Multidisciplinary Research at GNDEC
LUDHIANA: The two week faculty development program on “Computing tools to facilitate multidisciplinary research” was successfully concluded at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana on Friday.
Dr HK Sardana, chief scientist, CSIR was the chief guest of the valedictory ceremony. In the FDP, there were a number of participants from various departments of GNDEC Ludhiana as well as from various institutes like NITTTR Chandigarh, IIT Roorkee, Panjab University etc.
The eminent speakers in FDP were experts from renowned institutes and industries like IIT Ropar, CSIO, NIT Jalandhar, Panjab University Chandigarh, SLIET, Central University, GNDU, Punjabi University, DAVIET, TIET, Punjab Remote Sensing Centre, TCS, etc.
The participants were made aware of the various computing tools like WEKA, Matlab, SPSS, JMP, UNL etc. They were also given knowledge about MOOC, turnitin, LATEX etc.
