The Modi’s government’s decision to include Amitabh Bachchan as part of the cultural gala event planned to mark the second anniversary of NDA’s government in power has attracted sharp criticism from Congress party. However the legendary actor appeared unfazed by the controversy surrounding his inclusion.

At the trailer launch of TE3N when Amitabh was asked about it, the superstar said, “I have been invited to host a small segment in the programme and not the entire event. I am attached to a campaign which is called ‘Beti Bachao Beti Badhao’ and that is the segment that I am hosting. The show is being hosted by Madhavan and not me. I am just doing a small segment which us along the lines of something that I have been doing with the United Nations. I am their ambassador for the girl child mission. And I am working for it and that’s what I will be talking about.”
