Revealing why the supermodel was chosen for the job, Colin said, "Karlie has an innate understanding of the digital world; we can't wait to leverage her creativity to share inspiring stories about our jewelry and capture those emotional moments in life."
While the CEO for consumer goods Robert Buchbauer added,"We wanted to bring our brand to the next level but also the next generation — we thought that Karlie would be a perfect match. She represents a certain openness and a certain mind-set — a new philosophy, if you will. She is very fashionable and very beautiful, which is key when you talk about the next generation of consumer — specifically, powerful women who should become our long-term customer.
And what did Karlie had to say ...
"It’s such a global presence, you see [their ads] in the subway, also all throughout Europe." She further told WWD, "They are a brand that does bridge the gap [between fashion and commerce], the scope of what they do its pretty extreme."
What lies ahead for Karlie Kloss' new job?
Kloss will remain the face of the brand for the next two years, appearing in outdoor, television, digital and print campaigns, with print ads appearing in the September issues of national US magazines.
