After slashing the prices of the Ciaz and Ertiga diesel last week following an excise duty cut, Maruti Suzuki is in the news again. India’s largest car maker has issued an recall for the Dzire diesel AMT and the Baleno. In total, 75,419 units of both the models have been affected by the recall.

The affected units include Baleno and Dzire diesel cars manufactured between August 3, 2015 and May 17, 2016. The Baleno has been recalled for an upgrade to the airbag controller software whereas the Dzire diesel units have been recalled for the replacement of a faulty fuel filter. Maruti Suzuki dealers will be contacting the owners of the vehicles being covered by the recall from 31st May 2016. Also, the owners can themselves check if their vehicle is covered under this by visiting the company website and following some simple steps.

Only last week Maruti Suzuki had issued a recall of more than 20,000 units of the S-Cross. The S-Cross was recalled for replacement of faulty brakes. The recall affected both the 1.3 litre and the 1.6 litre fitted S-Cross models.
