SUBIC, Zambales- A fisherman from this town has been reported missing near the Scarborough Shoal since Monday (May 23) after losing contact with other fishermen.

Larry Delos Santos, 24, failed to return to their mother boat after fishing on his own on a service boat about 15 miles from the shoal, said Dionifer Basillote, boat captain of FB Al Francis.

Basillote said he and his other crew searched for Delos Santos for two days but failed to find him.

“We’re hoping that he will be spotted by other Filipino fishermen who are still in the area,” Basillote told the Inquirer.

Basillote said he and his crew decided to return home on Thursday (May 26) because they were running out of fuel. CDG/rga
