KARACHI: Water and Power Federal Secretary Younus Dagha is going to inaugurate 8th Power Generation Conference 2016, which will be held tomorrow (May 26) with a theme “Zero Load shedding-Reality or Dream?” at a local hotel at Islamabad. Power Generation Conference Organizing Committee Chairman Naeem Qureshi said that the conference would provide knowledge and awareness, networking and Research and Development opportunities exclusively designed for power generation through coal, nuclear hydro, renewable, alternate, thermal and allied industries. Ministry of Water and Power is organising the event which will offer an interactive discussion, enabling local and international energy experts, high officials of Water and Power Ministry IPP, DISCOS, engineering companies, regulators, power producers, academia to talk on latest advancements being adopted and utilised worldwide especially in Asia Pacific region, he added. Special Adviser to Prime Minister, Dr Musaddiq Malik will be the guest of honour on the occasion. Experts and researchers would deliver their speeches on the power crises, current development and achievements, future strategies, research and development, technological development and advancement, plan of action for energy efficiency conservation and management, impact on economic growth and development in the country.
