New Delhi, May 27 (UNI) The nation today remembered with reverence its first Prime Minister Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 52nd death anniversary. Vice President Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and several dignitaries paid homage to Pundit Nehru who passed away on this day in 1964. Vice President Mr Ansari, Congress Chief Ms Gandhi and several dignitaries participated in a ceremony held at the Pt Nehru's memorial at the Shantivan here this morning to pay floral tributes to the departed leader. Prime Minister Mr Modi wrote a tweet on his official page to pay his respect to the late PM. "Remembering our first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary", Mr Modi said.
