Pranaya Raja Srinath, who considers Puttanna Kanagal his guru, is back in an all-new avatar in Suli, which is directed by Puttanna's prot'g', PH Vishwanath. As the movie, produced by TS Sathyanarayan and Deeya Communications, hits theatres today, the director tells us why you must watch this movie this week'
- This is a role that Srinath, who has been an actor for 49 years, is excited about as he will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar. The actor plays the main character, Budensaab, who is a family man and a father of three daughters.
- Except Srinath, all the other artistes are newcomers. Although new, they are from a theatre background and fit into the skin of the characters. The new talent is to watch out for, as the acting is very natural.
- This film is different, in the sense that it is not an art film or a commercial film. It is a film about a family, and is, therefore, a movie that can be watched by everyone in the family. Also, all the five songs take the story forward and are not randomly placed.
- The entire movie has been shot in scenic locales in Karnataka. It has been shot in Ballalarayana Kote in Chikmagalur district, Devaramane and other beautiful places in the state.
