Robin Roberts presented George Stephanopoulos and his wife, Ali Wentworth, with the GLSEN Respect Award for their commitment to improving lives of LGBT teens at the organization’s annual gala. GLSEN is an educational organization whose mission is to protect LGBT students from being bullied and discriminated against.
Wentworth credited daughters Harper and Elliott for “teaching us about tolerance . . . They’re a hopeful symbol of other generations to come that have taken this particular cause to their hearts.”
