JMM has decided to their raise voice against the incident after a team of central committee members conducted investigation and found that Mahto was falsely implicated.

A five-member team visited Nawadih of the district and collected information about the incident and met residents, doctors, family members, policemen and party workers present at the spot after JMM had decided on an enquiry eight days ago.
The team has prepared a report that will be submitted to the party high command.
"Police based on postmortem report alleged that smoke emanating from the tyres burnt by agitators choked his lungs and he died of asphyxiation. The team found that it was not only police officer but Mahto and other cadres also inhaled that smoke being at the spot. The action taken against Mahto is politically motivated,"he said . tnn

Based on post mortem report police have moved court to add Section 304 (culpable homicide) and 328 of IPC against Mahto and other four named accused and other 200 unknown persons.
