Drinking water for every household in 10 days: Harish

Minister for Irrigation T. Harish Rao said that drinking water would be supplied for every house hold in the next 10 days without fail.

Participating in various programmes in Gajwel, Mulugu and Waragal in Gajwel constituency on Thursday, Mr. Harish Rao said that programmes for all-round development would be taken up across the district.

Works worth Rs. 17.5 crore would be taken up at Ahammadipur. Mr. Harish Rao said that five residential schools at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.22 crore were sanctioned for the Gajwel constituency. Duel desks would be provided in all schools and Rs. 1.4 crore for Marpadaga high school, and Rs 1.6 crore each for schools at Teegul and Chebarthi were released.

The Minister said that nine-hour power supply for farming was being extended by the government to benefit farmers. Work for nine sub- stations was already completed in the constituency, he said, adding that it was under progress in seven sub-stations. The Minister also inaugurated the Telangana Talli statute at Ahammadipur.
