Delhi Cong leaders to 'expose' AAP
Jalandhar: Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken said here on Thursday that party colleagues from Delhi would visit Punjab to expose the reality of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government as it was "misleading" people through ad blitzkrieg and by "manipulating" facts.
"People of Delhi have already realized what AAP is so the party could get just five seats in municipal corporation byelections.
Now people of Punjab should also follow voters of Delhi in judging them," he said while addressing a press conference to "expose" the Modi government by "exposing its failures". However, AAP also remained on Maken's target.
He also said that leaders from Delhi would come to Punjab as they knew the reality about its government in Delhi better. Asked were Punjab Congress leaders were lagging in taking on AAP, he said Delhi-based members of the party had first hand experience of way AAP was running the government. He denied that there was any communication gap with Punjab leaders on that count.
"Here they tell budget allocation for health and education which they claim has been enhanced to a big extent, but reality is different," he added.
