Regularization of colony under scanner

Ludhiana: Taking note of allegations of corruption against municipal corporation (MC), mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria has summoned records related to the alleged illegal regularization of a colony on Chandigarh Road. A year ago, the MC's building branch had regularized a colony, by allegedly taking residential fee for a commercial area, and thus causing loss to the MC exchequer.The issue was raised by RTI activist Rohit Sabbarwal, who claimed that MC officials were involved with violators by taking fee for residential area under the scheme.
