Nepal Maoist chief Pushpa Kamal Dahal says he will replace KP Oli as PM soon

The Oli government is going to announce the annual budget on Saturday.

Dahal said his leadership would give impetus to the implementation of the constitution, post-earthquake reconstruction and national unity.

Dahal, leader of the third largest party in Parliament, the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML), and a coalition partner in the Oli-led government, had earlier this month called off his initiative to form the his government along with the support of main opposition Nepali Congress after Oli apparently agreed to make room for Dahal after the budget was adopted.

Nepali Congress chief Sher Bahadur Deuba, meanwhile, Thursday accused the government of giving false assurances to the people, warning against “misusing” the taxpayers’ money for “populist budget” to be announced soon. with pti inputs
