BRTS terminal in Nigdi

Hundreds of bus commuters will benefit from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's (PCMC) new bus rapid transit system (BRTS) terminal at Bhakti Shakti chowk in Nigdi.

Hundreds of bus commuters will benefit from the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation's (PCMC) new bus rapid transit system (BRTS) terminal at Bhakti Shakti chowk in Nigdi. Vijay Bhojane, spokesperson, BRTS department at PCMC said, "The civic body has completed 70 per cent of the terminus construction, which began in May last year. The total plot area of the terminus is 8,000 sq ft, bigger than other BRTS terminals in the city, namely Kiwale and Bhosari.
The terminus with five platforms will have around 250 to 300 buses arriving and departing from here. The total cost of the project is Rs 4 crore."

Dhurandhar to speak on gravitational waves
The Marathi Vidnyan Parishad will hold a lecture, 'Einstein's Centennial Gift: Gravitational Wave Discovered' by Sanjeev Dhurandhar at Balgandharva Rangmandir at 9.30am on Sunday. The lecture will describe the physics of gravitational waves, the technological feats necessary to achieve unprecedented sensitivities, the current and future global efforts in this direction, the gravitational wave that was detected, the Indian initiative and contribution to the global effort and the astrophysics that can be learned.
