Galaxy Note 7 Has Been Shown Sporting A 3,700mAh Battery And Is Packing An Exynos 8890 – No Sign Of Snapdragon 823
There are some very interesting things that you will notice about Galaxy Note 7. First off, the device has been detailed to feature an Exynos 8890. For the longest time, we believed that a Snapdragon 823 was going to be a part of the hardware but it is possible that a different variant is announced alongside the Exynos 8890 variant.
Now, there might not be a difference between Snapdragon 823 and Snapdragon 820 in terms of its manufacturing process and design, but the extra clock speed will equal better performance across the device. To top that, Galaxy Note 6 has also been reported to feature a massive 5.8-inch screen and IP68 certification, meaning that the smartphone is going to be waterproof till a certain depth.
Additionally, the upcoming handset is expected to feature 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM, because there needs to be some level of difference between this one and its smaller brothers. Furthermore, the incorporation of an iris scanner is also said to be a part of the smartphone’s configuration, and why would it not? Apart from a fingerprint scanner, what better way to secure your device than with an extra security measure, and we know that we might be expecting too much from Samsung, but we are under the impression that the company’s payment service, Samsung Pay could somehow be integrated into the iris scanner, if there ever was such a security feature.
Now, here is the thing that surprised us the most. Galaxy Note 7 has been rumored to feature a massive 4,000mAh battery, but on this occasion, we only see a 3,700mAh mentioned on the details. That’s only a 100mAh increase over the battery capacity of Galaxy S7 edge. One more thing to see here is that the RAM and internal memory consumption is too darn high. This could mean that there is going to be a ton of bloatware present on Galaxy Note 7, even though Samsung promised that it would slow and gradually shift away from this practice.
