Lalu gives 'zero' to Modi govt

Patna:RJD chief Lalu Prasad has given 'zero' to the Narendra Modi government which is celebrating its two years in office at the Centre.
"Before the Lok Sabha elections, they (NDA) fooled people by showing advertisements as if they would bring about great changes. They promised to bring black money and give Rs15 lakh to all besides providing employment to the youth.
But the situation is such that they are not even able to protect the values of the Constitution," Lalu said on Thursday.
He criticised the central government for slashing down the budget on education, health and agriculture which was adversely affecting the weaker sections of the society. Lalu further condemned the BJP-led NDA government for promoting rightist ideology in the education system.
"Instead of focusing on farmers' suicide, poverty and malnutrition, people associated with the NDA are busy inciting communal violence and their leaders talk about 'love jihad' and 'ghar wapsi'. Now they have even started distributing the certificate of nationalism, instead of focusing on development-related issues," he alleged.
Lalu also mocked at the much hyped NDA government schemes saying though the PM was talking about 'Make in India', not a single big project started in the last two years. "Same is the condition of foreign relations. Neither Pakistan nor China is under control and relation with Nepal has also deteriorated. Modi government is expert only in inaugurating those projects or schemes which had been initiated during the UPA rule," he said.
Talking about inflation in the country, he said even dal (pulses) had become costly and farmers were committing suicide under the burden of loan.
"Poor and middle class people have actually been fooled," the RJD chief said. TNN
