'Finding Dory' Reveals Some Familiar Faces in New Clip

Plucky Nemo (Hayden Rolence), his neurotic dad Marlin (Albert Brooks), and their amnesiac friend Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) are all back in Pixar’s Finding Dory, the long-awaited sequel to the studio’s 2003 smash hit Finding Nemo. And as the new clip from the film indicates, they’ll also be joined by a few more familiar faces.

In this minute-long scene from the animated odyssey, the aquatic trio are again seen navigating the high seas (here, the California current) alongside Crush, the sea turtle who, despite being 150 years old, still carries himself with the laid-back spirit of a twentysomething surfer dude (he’s voiced by Finding Dory director Andrew Stanton). As usual, Marlin finds such adventures upsetting to his stomach, while Dory remains at once devoid of any long-term memory and wholly confident that she’ll figure things out in due time.

Whether that’s true and Dory’s quest to find her parents ends in a happily-ever-after reunion, isn’t spoiled by this short and sweet clip, which mainly makes us eager to dive back into Pixar’s deep-blue universe. Also featuring the voice-work of Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Ed O’Neill, Ty Burrell, Willem Dafoe, Idris Elba, Dominic West and Vicki Lewis, Finding Dory swims into theaters on June 17.
