Drama Desk and Obie Award winner Everett Quinton will direct a reading of a new play, Adam & Brian, on June 1st at St. John's on Christopher St at 7:30pm.

This reading is open to industry professionals and invited friends. Written by Craig Donnelly, Adam & Brian centers around a gay couple in modern-day New York City. One night, on their way back home from the movies, they are victims of a hate crime and brutally attacked by three strangers. The play begins with Adam and Brian's first time returning to their apartment following the attack. What unfolds is not only the story of what happened to them physically but the deeper emotional damage affecting themselves and their relationship.

Doors open at 7 with a light reception offered, reading begins at 7:30 followed by a talkback with the cast and creative team. The running time of the play is 60 minutes. This reading is being produced by the Yorick Theater Company and will be performed by actors Matt Baxter Luceno and Daniel Yaiullo.
