Chico's FAS Announces 25% Retreat In Q1 Profit

Chico's FAS (CHS) reported a profit for first quarter that fell compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $33.4 million, or $0.25 per share. This was down from $44.5 million, or $0.30 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 7.9% to $642.98 million. This was down from $697.77 million last year.
