Taxi driver dies in Pretoria collision

JOHANNESBURG, MAY 26 (ANA) – A taxi driver died Thursday morning following a collision with a bus at Southpansberg and Viljoen streets in Pretoria, said Chitra Bodasing, ER24 spokesperson.

Bodasing said paramedics and other emergency services found the taxi driver trapped in the vehicle. “Upon assessment it was found that he sustained fatal injuries.”

ER24 paramedics treated a woman for minor injuries and transported her to hospital. Other passengers were also attended to by other services, said Bodasing.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown. Authorities are investigating.
