NRG dies as car overturns near Limbdi

A 69-year-old non-resident Gujarati (NRG) was killed and three others injured after the car in which he was travelling overturned near Limbdi town of Surendranagar and hit a van Wednesday morning.

RAJKOT: A 69-year-old non-resident Gujarati (NRG) was killed and three others injured after the car in which he was travelling overturned near Limbdi town of Surendranagar and hit a van Wednesday morning. The deceased was identified as Vinod Jethava from US.
The accident occurred near Kanpar village on national highway at around 5 am after a cattle came on the road and the car driver hit the brakes to avoid a collision.

"Jethava was returning from US. He had landed at Ahmedabad Airport on Wednesday early morning. His son Mahesh Jethava had come to receive him. They were returning to Rajkot in a car. However, when they reached near Limbdi, a cattle suddenly appeared on the road and Mahesh, who was driving the car, tried to avoid collision and applied brakes resulting in the car turning turtle," police sources said.
The car flipped over the divider and crashed with a van coming from the opposite direction. Three persons, travelling in the van were injured. They were identified as Prakash Shamji (40), Ladha Bharvad (45) and Nayana Shailesh (38).
Mahesh also received injuries and he was rushed to private hospital in Rajkot where his condition is stated to be stable. Jethava's kin donated his eyes after his death.
