ET-Panache Travel reader Sridhar Sivaram says: We took our flight from Cochin to Agatti in Lakshadweep. As we were about to land, one could see the white sand beach and different shades of blue water. Our first stop was the Island of Kadmat.

It was a 4 hour ride on the speed boat. Kadmat is one of the longest islands of Lakshadweep, stretching around 10 km, with white sand beach on all sides. It has some amazing marine life, and is great place for diving. However, the best island we visited was Bangaram. It is much smaller and has a small lagoon with crystal clear water. During low tide, small islands of sand are seen close to the lagoon.

Bangaram is an amazing place for snorkelling with some 200-year-old ship wreck spots, which have become the breeding ground some of the most colourful marine life. Even if you have nothing else to do, I am sure you won’t get bored walking on the soft white sandy beaches and leaving your foot prints on.
