Four ministers were sworn in by Governor K. Rosaiah at Raj Bhavan here in the presence of Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday evening taking the strength of the Cabinet to 33.
The Ministers who took oath are G. Bhaskaran (Minister for Khadi and Village industries), Nilofer Kabil (Minister for Labour), P. Balakrishna Reddy (Minister for Animal Husbandry) and Sevoor S. Ramachandran (Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments).
On Monday last, the Council of Ministers led by Ms Jayalalithaa was sworn in at a glittering ceremony at the Madras University Centenary Auditorium in which 28 ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy.
Shortly after that Ms Jayalalithaa chose to expand her Cabinet by including four Ministers ostensibly to give representation to the Muslim community and linguistic minorities.
