AAX shielded from oil price fluctuations, says Benyamin


KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia X (AAX) has hedged its fuel requirements for the rest of the year and will be shielded from the fluctuations in oil prices until then, said its CEO Benyamin Ismail.

“We have hedged for 100% of our fuel requirements at US$56 per barrel this year. Last year, it was about half.
