Hassan student secures fourth highest score in Science

Aishwarya V. Yajaman, a student of Masters PU College in Hassan, has secured the fourth highest score in the II Pre-University examination in the science stream. She scored a total of 593 out of 600 marks. Aishwarya secured 100 each in physics, mathematics and Sanskrit. In English, she got 95 and in chemistry and biology, she scored a 99 each.

Her father, Venkachala, is a contractor and mother, Geetha, is a State government employee. Her brother has completed his B.E. course Aishwarya says that she intends to become a doctor and is expecting a good rank in the CET. She secured 618 of 625 in the SSLC examinations and become a topper in the district two years ago. Aishwarya said that she did not expect to score a 593. “Yes, I was expecting good marks, but not what I have secured.

I used to study for six hours a day. I have always dreamt of becoming a doctor. Seeing as I have done well in the CET too, I hope I get a seat in a good medical college,” she said.

Hassan district has secured 12th position in the State by registering a pass percentage of 65.47. Last year, Hassan was in the 15th place with a pass percentage of 66.64 pc.
