Constable, PSI trade charges of violence; file complaints
Ahmedabad: There was an unusual scene on the campus of Special Operations Group (SOG) at Juhapura on Tuesday afternoon when an SRP constable, Vipul Sarvaiya, and PSI Lalji Malaviya accused each other of assault. Constable Sarvaiya alleged that PSI Malavia had sprayed chilli water on his face, PSI alleged that the constable had slapped him in public.

Both the constable and the PSI lodged complaints against each other at Vejalpur police station. Both were released on bail on Wednesday.
Constable Sarvaiya's complaint states that PSI Malaviya constantly harassed him and demanded money to not report against him.
"Sarvaiya stated that on Tuesday morning when returned to duty from leave and was sleeping inside his barracks, PSI Malaviya came and sprayed chilli water on his face and thrashed him with a blunt object and a thick rope," said a police official.
Sarvaiya mentions in his complaint that Malaviya threatened him with dire consequences if he complained about the incident to his superiors.
