Power supply disruption today

There will be no power supply on Thursday from 10am to 5pm to the following areas: Surathkal, Kana, Tadambail, Katipalla, Chelyar, Kuttethur, Mukka, Sasihitlu, Mulki, Kinnigoli, Haleyangadi, Kateel and adjoining places.
Scientists' US visit: Shashikiran Nivas and Alifha Severes, scientists of laboratory of Applied Biology, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, attended the 12th workshop on cyanobacteria at Arizona State University, Tempe campus, on May 19 and presented their work on use of microalgae for production of biofuels.They also visited some laboratories in the US working on microalgae.

MTech rank: Savitha J G, student of Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadvu, bagged the third rank in MTech in electronics for 2014-15. With 82.38%, she stood third, according to an official communication issued by Visveswaraya Technological University, Belagvai. She is the daughter of G S Jayappa and Annapoorna from Raichur. Madhushree, final-year student of electronics and communication at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri has bagged sixth rank in VTU Exams held in 2014-15.
Yakshagana: On the occasion of sixth annual celebrations, Kala Sangama Sanskritika Vedike, Mangaluru, will organize 'Yakshasiri-2016' on Sunday at Sri Mangaladevi Temple. Yakshagana, felicitation and award presentation ceremonies will be held. Krishna J Palemar, former minister, will inaugurate the event and H S Nayak, a senior CA, will preside over the function.
