Gujarat traffic branch revived

The state traffic branch was rejuvenated on Wednesday with two IPS officers and four officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) being appointed on Wednesday.

Ahmedabad: The state traffic branch was rejuvenated on Wednesday with two IPS officers and four officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) being appointed on Wednesday.
The new traffic branch will not enforce traffic rules but suggest and study means to improve the overall traffic flow in the state. SP, Western Railways, Sharad Singhal will be in-charge of the traffic-1 squad and SP of CID crime, Sujata Mehta, will lead the traffic-2 squad.
"Other officers appointed in the squad are DSP Gaurav Jasani , DSP traffic department Andrew Mackwan, DSP Bhagirth Gadhvi of Vyara and DSP MJ Solanki ," added a senior police official. tnn
