Kancheepuram students honoured

If needed, we are ready to take the bull by its horn is the message sent out by the four government school girls who had made it to the elite group of SSLC students scoring 490 and above marks in the 2016 public examinations.

K. Sneha of Government (Girls) High School, Kelambakkam, scored 492 marks out of 500; S. Suganya of Government (Girls) Higher Secondary School, Kundrathur, scored 492 marks; K. Yuvashri of Arcot Narayanasamy Mudaliyar Government (Girls) Higher Secondary School, Big Kancheepuram, notched up 491 marks and K. Priyadharshini of Government (Girls) Higher Secondary School, Kundrathur, scored 490 marks in the public examination. After receiving mementos from the District Collector R. Gajalakshmi, they said they would pursue the Science in the higher secondary level in order to join the medical course. Though there was a slight decline in pass percentage in Kancheepuram revenue district, students put up an impressive show. The pass percentage stood at 92.77 against 92.79 in 2015.
