Sir Ganga Ram Hospital here recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with China for opening of an Ayurvedic centre at Kunming in China.
The MoU was signed by Gloria Hao, the chairperson of Yogame; Sheng Xulei, the board chairman of Yunnan Metropolitan Construction Investment Co. Ltd; and Parmeshwar Arora, senior consultant, Department of Ayurveda, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Yogame is a Chinese company that runs traditional Indian yoga centres in China.
Dr. Arora was invited as an expert at the recently-held China-India Yoga Festival. The inaugural ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the China government, Embassy of China in India and Indian Embassy in China.
According to the terms of the MoU, Dr. Arora will contribute towards sourcing of Ayurvedic materials, provide skills and training of manpower, and give consultancy on Ayurveda.
