Pudukottai district improves its position in State rank

As many as 31 students bagged the district level three ranks. Six students with 497 marks shared the first rank; ten stood second with 496 marks and 15 others got the district third with 495 marks.

The six first rank holders bagged the joint State third rank.

M.Aarthi from Vairams Mat HSS; P. Alin Amala, S. Charlotte Bessie Sagaya and R. Vigneshwaran all from Mount Zion Mat HSS; M. Sneha from Vidyaa Vikas Mat HSS, Gandarvakottai; K. Yuvansha from Modern Mat School Alangudi secured the district first rank.

Ten students with 496 marks secured the district second rank: A. Amrita, M. Atchaya Bharathi and P. Karthick Vikram all from Vairams Mat. HSS; R. Ayesha Seema and C. Kirubha both from Amala Annai Mat HSS, Ponnamaravathy; T. Neethima and B. Rakesh both from Vidyaa Vikas Mat HSS, Gandarvakottai; B. Princy Mary Immaculate Mat School, K. Rasiamangalam; A. Rajeswari from ADR Mat. HSS, Kaikurichi; and N. Vignesh from Mount Zion Mat HSS.

Fifteen students with 495 marks secured the district third rank: G.K. Abinaya and K.R. Srinithi both from Vairams Mat HSS; M. Aishwarya, N. Indumathi K. Janofieya Begam, J. Karthikaa, P. Vishal Sam Francis all from Mount Zion Mat HSS; S. Aspar Fathima National Mat HSS, Aranthangi; M. Bhavatharani, Government Girls’ HSS, Kothamangalam; A.L. Gobinath and K. Prakash from SFS Mat HSS; M. Navitha and N. Nilofur Nisha from Mary Immaculate Mat School; M. Nishath Rahimama Ranee's Government GHS; S. Raguram, Karpaga Vinayaga Mat HSS.

The district has registered a marked improvement in its state rank from 23rd position last year to 19th rank now. Of 25, 377 students who appeared for the examination, 23,972 emerged successful, registering a pass percentage of 94.46 per cent. S. Shanthi, Chief Educational Officer, said that the pass percentage has improved from 91.76 per cent last year to 94.46 this year. A total of 127 schools had registered cent per cent pass percentage.

C.S. Ravindran, Superintendent of Prisons, said that all the five inmates of Borstal School and the District Jail who appeared for the SSLC examination, emerged successful.
