Handloom, silk and cotton exhibition gets under way

An exhibition of cotton and silk handloom products ‘Weaves’ was inaugurated at AMCOSA Function Hall, Maharanipeta and Sai Priya Function Hall, Gajuwaka, on Wednesday.

Traditional silks of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat find a place at the exhibition. Rich Kanjeevarams, crepe silks, Dharmavarams, Uppadas, Pochampally silks, Narayanpet, Gadwals, Paithani, Benaras brocade and Patolas are displayed at the stalls.

Wide choice

Tussar, Eri, Muga, and Kosa from Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh in contemporary designs and weaves are available at the expo. The exhibition will be on from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the two venues till May 29.
