Occupying third spot among nine divisions in the state, the Aurangabad division registered a pass percentage of 87.80 in HSC examination this year, showing a drop of 4% when compared to the last year. With 90.47 pass percentage, girls once again scored better than boys (86.25%). Among the five districts under the division, Beed recorded highest pass percentage of 89.4.

The Latur division reported a pass percentage of 86.28 in the HSC exam this year - a drop of over 5% when compared to the last year. With only three Marathwada districts under its jurisdiction, it is the second smallest division of the MSBSHE after Konkan. As many as 75,123 candidates appeared for the exam from the Latur division, of which 64,818 candidates cleared it.
