Gadkari’s Sundernagar visit on June 5

Union Surface and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will visit Sundernagar on June 5 and during his visit, he will lay the foundation stones of national highways declared by him recently. This was stated by Ajay Rana, state BJP spokesperson, here today.
He said it was for the first time that any union minister had not only declared so many national highway projects in Himachal, but also was visiting Himachal for laying the foundation stones of projects worth thousand of crores so that works could be started and the people of the state was benefitted.
He demanded that two roads – Pandar-Tatapani road and Dehar-Talali-Gahnghnu- Pungh — be declared as national highways, as many religious places and places of tourism potential were situated on these roads. He said Mandi MP Ram Swaroop had already taken up the matter with the Union Minister for Surface Transport,
He was hopeful that the union minister would make a declaration to this effect.
