CM visits injured at Almora hospital

DEHRADUN: Chief Minister Harish Rawat arrived at primary health centre at Bhatrojkhan in Almora and enquired about the health of the people injured in the road accident that occurred on Chauri Ghatti in Sult tehsil on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Harish Rawat arrived at primary health centre at Bhatrojkhan in Almora and enquired about the health of the people injured in the road accident that occurred on Chauri Ghatti in Sult tehsil on Wednesday.

Harish Rawat expressed concern at the loss of lives and injuries caused to passengers and directed officials to take strict action against those who violate traffic norms, leading to accidents in the state.

He said the responsibility must be fixed collectively at the police, transport and Revenue Department level so that the trust deficit among the people against the departments was removed. He directed these departments to make efforts to stop accidents.

The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

He also directed officials to make arrangements to carry patients to hospitals such as Jolly Grant, Dehradun, by helicopter, if required.

He announced Rs 1 lakh to the kin of the deceased and directed officials to provide adequate treatment to the injured.—TNS
