More powerful, faster and more user-friendly, this new version boasts new districting features on points, numerous improvements, as well as a new wizard for providing organizations with a better user experience and for better adapting to business needs.

GEOCONCEPT SA, the leading designer of geographical optimization technologies for professionals, is today announcing the launch of Territory Manager for Geoconcept 3.1, the new version of its online geographical information publishing solution.
More powerful, faster and more user-friendly, the improved districting feature based on a pattern of points, together with a new equidistant district feature, offers organizations a better user experience so that they can better adapt to business needs.

Thanks to its powerful optimization engine, Territory Manager for Geoconcept enables you to define the districting best suited to your market and strategy, simulate new sales territories and exploit their potential to the full. This decision-support tool uses all the data provided to construct optimized districts: balanced customer portfolio, efficient organization and reduced travel costs.

IMPROVED DISTRICTING ON POINTS FEATURE FOR SUPERIOR ECONOMICS AND OPTIMIZATION PERFORMANCE:
Territory Manager for Geoconcept 3.1 provides improved Districting feature ergonomics and now comes with two operating modes: a standard mode for simplified districting configuration, and an advanced mode for refining selected options.
A new optimization algorithm has been incorporated for faster, more reliable results; thus checking district compactness for consistently logical districts. To enable the user to create districts providing a better fit with his problem, new features make it possible to:
• combine several balancing criteria;
• define districts around existing points: poles or agencies for example;
• fine tune the optimization by manually reassigning points following districting.

For optimal legibility of the districting, improvements have been made to the visual representation of the results:
• creation of merged districts capable of being delineated by existing objects; • automatic transfer of values to districts: the user can easily display the various values associated with the districts in tabular form depending on the preselected balancing criteria; • automatic creation of themes on the points, poles or districts with the ability subsequently to modify the display parameters (shades, symbols, sizes…).

NEW EQUIDISTANT DISTRICT FEATURE ENABLING BETTER ADAPTATION TO BUSINESS NEEDS :
Territory Manager for Geoconcept 3.1 also incorporates a new Equidistant districts feature to enable users to represent existing points on a map: customers, depots, shops… and to define the corresponding geographical envelopes/districts. The solution uses the Voronoï method to define equidistant districts; a wizard guides the user if required.
To ensure optimal legibility of the districts achieved, the merged districts can be delineated by existing objects (administrative boundaries, for example). The user also has access to the automatic transfer of district values and to the creation of themes.

Noteworthy among the proposed features:
• Creation of equidistant districts around a cluster of poles: to define districts around points of departure defined by the user;
• Creation of equidistant districts based on points allocated to a zone (points already allocated to a group/to a zone…): to define sectors surrounding these points based on the principle of equidistance.
